Ristorante La Porta Rossa, - Torinos beste fiskerestaurant!

Det er på kvelder hvor tilfeldighetene råder, jeg virkelig verdsetter overraskelser!  I kveld snublet vi bokstavelig talt innom en av Torinos beste fiskerestauranter. Menyen til Ristorante La Porta Rossa, forlokket oss inn i en oase av vidunderlige smaker!

Out-of -body seafood experience!
Accidentaly we found this restaurant,  and to our big surprise, it turned out to be one of our top three gourmet excperiences ever! From the moment we entered the fish ristorante we sensed the smell of good food and a warm welcome. The entry room was filled with wine bottles from big producers like Gaja and Giacosa. A fantastic atmosphere and expectations of gourmet food gave a warm feeling inside.We were not disappointed!


We ordered the taste menu (50 euro). This was a good choice. Fantastic food.
Antipasto: Shrimps with beans (Gambieri) and Octopus (Calamari) with Tuna and a fantastic olive oil. White whine from Roero (Arneis) with long aftertaste accompanied the food with elegance.
Primo piatti consisted of paccieri with a fantastic fishsauce. I almost licked the plate. Did'nt want to let anything of the sauce go to waste. Secondi arrived and luckily it was a monkfish with speck from Trentino. As Nowegians we were amaced by the quality of the fish. And the sauce...hmmm...!


Dolce: Icecream and chocolate with zabaglione cream, amaretti and blueberry. The most amazing part: Dessertwine was 12 years old (1999 from Veneto)! We almost had an out-of-body experience. We still linger the taste in our mouth.


The atmosphere was pure quality. Service ws attentive and  they were genuinely interested in giving us the best possible experience with the food. The afternoon ended with Cafe espresso and Grappa Nebbiolo that rounded of the night with elegance. The room was decorated in a simple manner and the light could have been toned down a bit, but this is small details. It did not bother us. This has been one of our top three nights ever, and this happened by pure luck! Incredible! Were are coming back for tartufo season with a good Barolo! Thanks! Mila gracie!

Etter kveldens fantastiske måltid, drømmer vi om å vende tilbake til Torino og Ristorante La Porta Rossa i oktober for å smake på deres trøffel-meny kombinert med en gammel årgang Barolo vin.

    For en fantastisk reise dere har vært på! Jeg blir helt bergtatt av dine reiseskildringer, du skriver så utrolig godt!!:) Dette er virkelig reiser som faller i smak hos meg og min mann, og vi gleder oss til den dag da junior har lyst å være med.. Foreløpig er det aktiviteter som legoland og dyreparker som preger feriene vårs. Hadde han med til Warszawa for første gang i fjor hvor vi vandret gatelangs for å vise han og datteren forskjellige steder, men han gikk fort lei og vi måtte avslutte med dyreparken hi hi.
